Dream Closet Renovation – Client Success Story

Last-minute drink choices at the checkout line of the grocery store are easy, no? How about making significant renovations to your home? You may have a vision of exactly what you want your dream closet to look like, or maybe you know the current layout needs improvement, but how do you make it a reality? Just like you, many of our clients experience these same challenges as they begin their home makeover process. For Nicholle and her husband Kyle, this journey was no different.

Change of Plans

Initially set on a new build project, Nicholle and Kyle ultimately found a home on the market that they felt could be transformed into their dream home. Baked into their original build plans was a 100 square foot closet space, and yet their new home only has 35 square feet of closet space. As they sifted through their options, they came across and reached out to Lake Champlain Closets to set up a consultation about their storage needs.

Designing Custom Dream Closets

During the consultation process, our lead designer, Cathy, identified the essentials for Nicholle and Kyle and worked with them to develop several high-impact designs. These designs were thoughtfully crafted and catered specifically to the client and their spaces. Ultimately, the couple chose to renovate several areas, including one walk-in closet and one reach-in closet. Both closet spaces were built using a white finish and paired with oil-rubbed bronze rods to create depth and contrast that matched their home.

“Just a month after our initial consult, our beautiful custom closets were being installed. I was blown away by the quality of the materials and how good they looked! I know looks aren’t everything, but seriously these closets are swoon-worthy. I was so excited to organize all of my things into the closets. I’m happy to report that my shoes do in fact all fit!” – Nicholle Sophia. Read more about their journey and other home renovations on Nicholle’s Blog!

Go With The Flow

As we alluded to in the beginning, making home renovations can be a complex process, and plans may change as you progress. For Nicholle and Kyle, while their overall storage may be smaller than they had planned, they were able to maximize their current space with floor-to-ceiling cabinets and create plenty of capacity for all of their belongings!
